I think that too often the focus is “to lose weight.”
Let’s stop and think about this for a second.
Let’s think about why we became obese in the first place. Did we sit and say, “Oh man, I want to gain as much weight as I can.”? Did we say, “I want to be enormous and I want people to make fun of me.” ?
No. Weight gain was a byproduct of our unhealthy life.
And just as our weight gain was a result of a certain way of living, so too needs to be our weight loss. Don’t go into your weight loss thinking, “I have to lose weight.” Go into it thinking, “I have to be healthy.”
Go into it trying to replace your bad habits with healthy ones.
Make losing weight a byproduct, not the focus, of your lifestyle.
I promise you, if you eat healthy, get active and find ways to be a healthier person, the weight will come off.
You will be more confident.
You will be sexier.
You will be a better person.
And not because the scale says so, but because you want to be.
